What a Life :-) a Techie Mom life ;-)

Few years back, I received a lot of evites to register for facebook but I was adamant not to add another net-working portal to my overwhelming list as it was already, as I cannot cope to frequent all anymore, so I thought! :-)

But, Ringo ended it's picture sharing service, I then succumbed and joined fellow net-crawlers in facebooking as most of my good friends and acquaintance made with my fellow country folks are on it. I have to admit now that I am, an avid net-crawlers at facebook, hmmm... imagine that :-) eh.

I then found the world of twitters, got an account..... its free so no problem there :-). Though I am not twitting by the minuets or hours, so to speak... but the advantage I gets from it is that, the instant updates and/or alerts from fellow twitters, about happenings everywhere around the world, on first hand knowldge... for crying out loud, its just amazing.

So, then I initiated the folks at SabahanFM http://sabahan.FM/listen.pls to get on twitters, just so that I can get an alert from them :-) I bet, like any other sabahan who are not in the same time zone as Sabah, Malaysia.. it would be great to be alerted for special events that we're vying for, as per the recent LIVE Streaming from KDCA on the Sagundoi 2009... which I am now ever so thankful to Sabahan.FM founder and its' crew.

Speaking for myself, due to the 15 hours time zone different, the alert via twitter, helps a lot. I was like sleeping at about 5 am when my cellphone twits and alerted me, hence I had the pleasure of listening to the Sagundoi 2009 from KDCA via Sabahan.FM internet radio streaming, all the way here in Oregon. How cool is that eh!

Okay.. other than the activities above, I chats on Gtalk with some good friend of mine, voice talk with friends on Yahoo, call my family on Skype, talk to friends on my cell, update my blog and blog hopping, check out new recommended webs and probably registered for new account and ect.

Sounds crazy right, but weird, somehow I still find time to be with the family, run errands, do household work (well sometimes my home is just like its just been swept by tornado), cook meals, get together with friends [ not virtually mind you :-) ], listens to my collection of Audio Book, go to movies, watch my favourite show on TV and do garden works during a good warm sunny day. What a life eh.

Well, as the saying goes... "Go with the flow", and I believe that one have to keep up with the world, in it's evolution. There's nothing to be afraid of , especially the Change!.... per se! In my book there's no such thing as one is too old or uncultivated enough, for a change or to learn new things or technology. In life we always have to learn, to keep up, regardless. At least learn the basic or the concept of the new things.. learn a little bit of it. One doesn't have to ace in everything, but just so that one knows how to go about in this era where technology rules hehe... kinda. Almost got carried away there for a moment. But.. you know what I meant eh.

Finally! I thought... I have something to write about, but alas! as soon as I logged into my blog, somehow those realm of thoughts just faltered off, and now am left with nothing much to go on.. so blog hopping I went. 

Now am going to the playground across the street, the weather is nicer today.. mendung  but nice. Weather starting to get a little bit warmer nowdays.  Better bring my book.. which is gathering habuk already :-)  Maybe I'll catch some idea outside.

Just To Twit about it!

I've noticed it was constantly mentioned at YouTube and also on podcast that I listens to, "Tweet me at my Twitter."  But upon checking it out, I thought its too overwhelming for me, cos I then have to update and tweet religiously in order to keep up...   so I thought. But then, after changing my cell to iPhone, it just so happened that one of the free apps offered are Twitter, and on top of that, there's like Twittervision, TwitterFon, Twitterrific and also Twitpic to name a few.. its just mind boggling. 

Being the kind of person who loves to try new stuff or at least find out what is that thing all about, I decided to register for an account with this Twitter and finally get it out of my system.. so to speak. Golly, within few minutes of registration,  I got like three people following me. For a moment there, I got so sceptical and actually removed my account... cos I got scared.  In my mind.. there's a lot of what if.. going on.  Then I told hubby about it. 

Hubby then checked it out and  he then assured me that it was actually OK. Feeling much better about it I went back and restored my initial registration and luckly for me, it was still restorable instead of having to re-register with new accounts.

Now me, and especially hubby, got hooked on it. Come to think about it now,  It's actually a great web application, and a great tool to use, to keep in touch with friends constantly or at least be updated or vice versa on each other's daily's endeavor or whatsoever.  And the bonus is, you can also follow some celebrity and popular persons and get first hand news on what they are up to,figuratively speaking.  Just had to be careful for pseudos character or likes, but hey, still,  it feels great when you realized you got the real person.  

Like yesterday, one of the celebs that I follows are Shaq.. you know Basketball? Lakers?..., he twitted that he is at the 5 n Diner in Phoenix, Arizona and inviting twitters to come join him. And then today.. somebody posted a blog with pics and all as proof, that they actually went to the diner and met Shaq, how cool is that eh. 

So, if anyone of you my friends are tweeters, just follow me and I will follow you :-)

I haven't been blogging for quite a while, (besa lah datang malas - now you see now you don't mai urang putih bilang tuu) so few weeks ago I logged-in my blog, and saw that I had few messages in my Cbox and I saw one of the messages is that I had a "Cute Award Blog" from fellow bloggers and I thought how nice.



It's even nicer cos I knew this gal, so I visited her blog, and saw this cute tag but I wonder if that's the one for me [wondering ;-) ] and upon reading her description of the intended, I thought it sounded like me so dengan malu-malu nya, takut salah orang at the same time, I grab the tag.. and hoping that's the one for me she mentioned on her message to me.

So in reciprocation, I'd like to write a little about her too...

~ It's ironic to say that I have known her all my life, but we never really hang out with each other, cos she is much younger in our generation. I was already in my teens or probably a young adult when she was born. I am almost like her mom age.. well, almost hehehe. I remember seeing her in church, driving past my house and also I think she network among my younger siblings and cousins. I always thought what a beautiful gal she is, and as I can see she is still now even more beautiful. Now years later, and that we are both mom and both bloggers hehehe, so, we probably have somehing in common now... and I would love to get to know this kampung neighbour of mine and become friends with her.

OK, it says here... to continue the chain, who ever received the award must list down 10 facts/hobbies about themself.. hmm... sanang bai tuu, so I thought ;-) , well in a nutshell, here's an honest self-perception of myself:-

Fact: Opinionated, analytical, high-and-mighty, domineering, cattish, impartial, self-assured, perceptive, good-natured/forgiving and original.

Hobbies: Computers , love figuring out techie gizmos and software, reading, crafting, sewing, shopping, gossiping, dancing & exercising, learning and inventing/designing.
